      Hi all,

      The issue has already been resolved but I would like to explain the problem in more detail as it caused some confusion.

      First of all, the customers who have experienced this problem in their instances are no longer affected. This is because the problem was caused by how Atlassian Marketplace was interpreting Jira Core 8.2.4 and its compatibility with Jira Software and Jira Service Desk. As the fix was applied to Marketplace, there is no need for affected Jira admins to perform any additional steps on their side in order to get rid of the error. Furthermore, future Jira 8.2.4 installations and upgrades will not be affected either.

      Atlassian will continue to watch this issue for further updates, so please feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.

      Issue Summary

      Versions & licenses page in Jira 8.2.4 shows a compatibility error if Service Desk or Software is installed.

      Steps to Reproduce

      Upgrade to or install Jira Software 8.2.4 or Jira Service Desk 4.2.4.

      Expected Results

      No warning nor an error is present as the applications are compatible.

      Actual Results

      The below exception is displayed on the page
      "Jira Core must be updated to be compatible with this version of Jira Software"

      Notes

      This issue was specific to the Jira 8.2.4 / Jira Service Desk 4.2.4 releases and is a separete one from the known https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-63794 even though they both resulted in the same error.
