    Description

If you are using a language where comma is the decimal separator and dot is the group (or thousands) separator, and you enter a numeric value (like when work is logged) using the group separator in any part of the number, Jira will accept the number ignoring the group separator. This also applies for the dot where dot is the group separator and the comma is the decimal separator. This behavior can be confusing and cause customers to log time in the incorrect format. See example

The suggested solution is to prevent the value from being accepted when it contains a group separator, indicating that it is not a valid value.
