      NOTE: This suggestion is for JIRA Server. Using JIRA Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Please consider the below changes

      • Let user himself decide which notifications to receive
      • Support email digesting (e.g. merge consequent changes into one notiifcation message)
      • In each email, show the reason why it has been received, with link to personal notification settings page

      This all will make JIRA really good enterprise-level product. Lot of products have such functionality.

            jwong@atlassian.com this is not the same thing as JRA-1369 (but it is the same as JRA-59005) but why was this marked as resolved?

            Thank you for your suggestion. We have a number of similar requests, notably JRA-59005 was submitted at a similiar time. My recommendation is that we merge this with JRA-1369 so that we get more votes and comments on the issue.
