      Hi everyone,

      The described problem had been reported in a few different issues. That's why I resolved this one as a duplicate, in favour of JRASERVER-46035 which has collected more interest so far. By merging the reports we will have a clearer picture of this shortcoming and its impact. It will help the development team to prioritise it against other bugs.

      I encourage everyone interested in getting this piece fixed to cast a vote for the consolidated bug, the JRASERVER-46035.

      Summary

      When editing comments, user is not able to browse for attachments but only able select the attachments which are already available in the issue unlike add comments.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Add a comment to an issue
      2. Edit the comment and click on the add attachment option

      Expected Results

      Browse attachment is displayed

      Actual Results

      Browse attachment is not displayed

      Workaround

      Add attachment prior to editing comment. The attachment option will display the attachments which are already attached to the issue.

      Notes

      This problem happen when "Add flag and comment" via Agile board. There is a bug ticket when "Add flag and comment", see Attachment icon function is broken
