Issue Navigator throws error when field with values containing the sharp S German character (ß) is selected or has a space at the end

      Thank you for reporting this issue. In the last weeks we have been working hard on fixing it.

      Summary of the problem:

      Issue Navigator was throwing an error when field with values containing the sharp S German character (ß) is selected to be included in the filter. This applied to checbkoxes, select lists and radio button custom fields.

      New behaviour after the change:

      Issue Navigator will correctly accept values with the sharp S German character (ß) and will use it in the filter.

      Status of the fix and Fix Version:

      The fix is ready, and we’re moving the status of this ticket to Waiting for release with Fix Version 10.0.2 and 10.1.0.

      We're actively working on having this fix released on 9.12.14, scheduled for 2 October 2024.

      Steps to reproduce:

      1. create select list field. Eg: category field
      2. add "Großprojekt" value to it among others values
      3. in the Issue Navigator, perform the search using value "Großprojekt"

      Notes:

      This is reproducible in Radio Button field as well. So, far this is tested in JIRA 6.3.8 , 6.3.11, 6.3.12

      Suggestion:

      It would be great if the users get a pop-up or notification when they add an unsupported customfield like below:

      please do not use ß, $ and space in the end as they are currently not supported.
