Description
It's not possible to use JIRA under a Windows machine where the localisation is set to use the Buddhist calendar (like Thai, for instance). The current year (2010) according to the Buddhist calendar is 2553. After entering the license details in JIRA, a message appears: "The current license is too old to install this version of JIRA (4.1.1)". After clicking the "Edit License or proceed under Evaluation Terms" link:
Confirm New Installation
This version of JIRA (4.1.1 - build #522) was created on 19/เม.ย./10.Your JIRA evaluation period expired on 02/ก.ค./67. You are not able to create new issues in JIRA.
To reactivate JIRA, please purchase JIRA.
Workaround
1) Set the localisation back to anything that uses the Gregorian calendar.
2) Follow KB on Setting properties and options on startup to add below JVM entry to the startup option.
