My project is set up so that adding a comment from the view issue screen results in an email notification being sent to the reporter and assignee. This is working as expected.

If I use the "Link this issue to another issue" operation from the view issue screen and add a comment on the resulting screen, no email notifications are delivered to the reporter and assignee.

I created a plugin with an issue event listener to see what IssueEvents were getting fired during the link operation and neither the issueComment nor the workflowEvent methods of the event listener were being called.

Shouldn't adding a comment when linking an issue result in an issueEvent being fired?
