In the old transition screen, we have multiple granular options to adjust the remaining estimate:
In the new issue transition screen, these specific options have been removed and replaced with Time Spent and Time Remaining.
If time remaining is left empty during updation, the system automatically reduces the value based on the entry. If you update the time remaining (along with time spent) It will set the time remaining to the value manually set.
However, the option for "Reduce By" which was present in the original experience is currently missing.
Creating this feature request to address the gaps between the old and new Work Log in the issue transition experience.
This also includes improvements to:
1) "Learn about logging work" section to be updated to include updated details about new transition screen work log options.
2) Provide pop up panels with info next to relevant work log fields so that end users can have a quick understanding on the purpose and usage of fields
ex: An entry to specify that If the field for time remaining is left blank, it would trigger an automatic recalculation.
3) The ability to configure the work log expand feature so that while using transition screen, the work log panels are readily available for use eliminating the need for an extra step in expanding the same:
