Sometimes, users may unintentionally delete Sprints. Restoring these Sprints typically requires either restoring from backups, which can be time-consuming and labor-intensive, or manually recreating the Sprints and transferring the associated issues to the newly created Sprint.
Therefore, it would be beneficial for JIRA to implement a Recycle Bin or Trash feature, allowing users to easily recover Sprints that were accidentally deleted.
Notes
Support is unable to recover accidentally deleted Sprints as per our data storage policy.
We encourage customers to regularly back up their products so they can always recover their data. See the following articles for more information:
- Jira products, see Exporting issues
- Confluence, see Create a site backup
You may also be able to recover data from your Sandbox instance if you have one.
