Issue Summary
User Picker fields changes are not reflected in Issue History when the new value is set through a post-function. This affects Jira default user fields such as Reporter, Assignee as also user picker custom fields.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a post-function to update a user picker field - you may use Update Issue Field OR Copy Value From Other Field post-function
- Execute the transition
- You'll notice that the change is completed, but no entry is added to issue history reporting this change
Expected Results
The change should be registered in issue history.
Actual Results
No entry related to user picker field change is added to issue history, as these issues were not updated at all.
Workaround
It's possible to use Automation rule to change user picker fields, with Issue transitioned trigger.
