Issue Summary
Searching for a user in the reporter field when creating a new issue using a non Atlassian email address doesn't work. This is important for customers to distinguish between users who have the same name.
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a new user to your site who has a non Atlassian email address
- Create a new issue using global issue create and in the 'Reporter' field attempt to search for the given user by typing in their full email address
Expected Results
The user should appear in the suggestions after searching with their email address
Actual Results
The user does not appear in the suggestions
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
