Issue Summary
Removing Original estimate field from Edit issue screens does not prevent it from being editable
This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes) / (no)
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to a Jira Software project (Company-managed) and pick an issue type.
- For the selected issue type, add the Time tracking field to its Create, View and Edit screens.
- Go to the Project settings > Issues > Layout and for the issue type of interest, ensure the Original estimate is part of the Context fields.
- Go to Project settings > Issues > Screens and for the issue type of interest edit the "Edit issue" screen, removing the Original estimate field.
Expected Results
The Original estimate field is displayed, but can't be modified from the issue view.
Actual Results
The Original estimate field is editable regardless if the field is in the Edit issue screen.
Additional note: if the Time tracking field and the Original estimate fields are fully removed from all the screens, the Original estimate remains in the issue view, and has to be removed from the Issue overlay to actually remove it from the issue view.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available

[JRACLOUD-82251] Removing Original estimate field from Edit issue screens does not prevent it from being editable
We experience the same behaviour, the Original Estimate Field is always visible & editable.
This is still a valid issue until now. I am unable to set the original estimate to NON EDITABLE mode.
I have seen the exact same behaviour recently - this is definitely an issue for us that seems unique to the original estimate/time tracking fields.
rchiquete - Can we get an update on this? This should be a higher priority bug as it allows users to enter false or erroneous data.
