      Summary:
Customers would like to copy/clone the project without having to use the third-party tools

      Additional Information:

While the ask is to have the feature without third-party tools, adding the information here for awareness

          Form Name

[JRACLOUD-79726] Jira Cloud - having the ability to clone/copy an entire project

Highly agree as well. This needs to be a normal function.

            HIGHLY agree on this enablement.

Manually cloning Jira tickets is terrible as

            • It doesn't copy child tickets when copying the parent ticket.
            • No Paren-child relationship link copied

Every time, we have to use External System Import to create new tickets and manually link each ticket.

Converting team managed project to company managed project. To ensure that none of the issues/ configurations are lost, wanted to clone the project as a backup.

When is this feature expected as a part of Jira software?

            Please implement this feature now!
It is surprising that a tool like JWM does not have the option of copying projects, when it is the most normal thing to do if several of the projects to be managed follow the same steps, processes, milestones, etc.

I'm honestly surprised this isn't already an option. Please make it happen as it would save a lot of time.

            We need it too

I'm trying to copy my configuration into a new project so I can keep my issues types and workflows as I branch out. Does it really need to be a complicated task to make that happen?

Please add this feature, it would save us a lot of time

I have just been searching for how to workaround this glaring ommission in your product and there is niothing of use from Atlassian.  Do you chnharge your Marketplace partners to use the support portal for advertisinf as that is how it often reads.  On many posts support responses look like an Atlassian free zone.  In time you may be able to deprecate Jira all together and just provide a substrate for add-ins to do everything.

I would have thought this would be a feature.  It gets pretty tiresome having to use an add-on to something as basic as manage project DRP and movements.  Please add this.
