Description
Summary
This appears to be a partial Regression of the BUG:
Adding a permalink into a comment on the same issue does not jump to the referenced comment on the set focus event when the permalink is selected, but rather nothing occurs and the focus remains unchanged
Environment:
- Tested in:
- Chrome Version 92.0.4515.131 (Official Build) (x86_64)
- Firefox 90.0.2 (64-bit)
- Firefox 91.0 (64-bit)
Steps to Reproduce
- Add a comment to an issue
- When viewing a comment, select the "copy link to comment" option to get the permalink
- add a few new comments with some random text to make the effect more apparent
- Place the link into a new comment on the same issue
- Select the link
Expected Results
The set focus event takes you to the comment in the permalink
Actual Results
The URL changes to the focused comment :
https://<<BASE_URL>.atlassian.net/browse/<ISSUE_KEY>?focusedCommentId=<COMMENT_ID>
However, nothing occurs to the view and the focus is unchanged
Workaround
Currently, the only workaround is to either open the comment in a new tab or refresh the page manually, as clicking the link while in the same tab will not refocus to the desired location without the additional manual action.
