Description
Summary
High memory usage in Firefox after page refresh. Problem is specifically bad for JIRA reindex page is it refreshes pages very frequently.
Environment
- JIRA
- Firefox 62 - OSX 10.11.5
- Firefox 62 - Windows 10
Steps to Reproduce
- Go to JIRA re-index page, or view an issue.
- Wait until process finished.
- Check memory usage

- Memory_profiling
Expected Results
Memory usage is low.
Actual Results
Memory usage is high. It grows from 50MB to 300MB in my case. In a worth case it can be 2+GB.

Notes
- Problem is not reproduceable in Chrome
- Problem happens with other JIRA pages in Firefox
- May be related to https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1141242
Workaround
This workaround seems to vary, as the below fix might work or not depending on your machine or OS!
- Refreshing the Current page by Pressing F5 or the Reload button
- Clearing the Browser Cookies
- Clearing the DNS Cache
- Use a Different Browser
- Switch to the new Issue view
- Use other browser
