In other words, the attachment would *** NOT *** be grouped in a common area where all other attachment are grouped together.

[JRACLOUD-10374] Ability to disable grouped attachment pane

Hi ab327e9f21fa it sounds like you may be seeing different behaviour to what I described here. What I see are both grouped attachments in the Attachments pane and attachments in comments:

If you only see grouped attachments can I ask you to create a Cloud Support Ticket with us and mention JRACLOUD-10374  so I can investigate? Thank you!

We would very much like to b e able to attach docs or screenshots per comment rather than grouped together can this be done pls?

As per this comment would the watchers of this issue be ok with us changing the title to "Ability to disable grouped attachment pane"?

The current behaviour for attachments in comments is that they appear both in the comment, and in the Attachments pane:

I'm not certain this meets the requirements of this feature request, which seems to want the attachments to only appear in the comments. With that in mind, I will leave this ticket open and perhaps the watchers could add their thoughts.

There is often some back-and-forth communication going through comments, accompanied with attachments for which context is critical, e.g. "Have a look at THIS screenshot, and note the differences from yesterday's one".

Having all attachments jumbled up at the top of the page makes this needlessly hard.

This would be great... and would solve the problems of JRA-3893.

This would be much better than listing them in what seems to be alphabetical order, by name of file , as it is for me. It is very confusing when attaching patches for the same file (OK: maybe I should fix it properly once . If the files need to be grouped together at the top (I can see a benefit in this), they should be sorted by date of upload, surely?

But attaching a file with a comment and have the file stay with the comment is a good idea. You've got my vote.
