Issue Summary
The Cloud version of Automation for Jira comes with the Advanced Branching which allows to branch over a smart value in a Jira issue, as documented in Branching over smart values in Jira Automation.
This feature is currently not available in the Server/Data Center version of Automation for Jira.
Suggestion
Add this feature to the Server/Data Center version of Automation for Jira.

Do you have any plans & timelines on implementing Advanced branching for data center Jira?
+ 1 Advanced branching would make automation life so much easier. Please implement this feature for data center Jira.
It's been nearly 3 years in waiting. As an admin I would cherish this far more than having dark-mode support in Jira (v. 10.3 LTS).

+1 Advanced Branching dramatically expands what's possible with automation rules
Every time I try to request new functionalities I have hope that the feature will be implemented soon. In the meantime in Atlassian's office --> Pls wait!
Please implement this feature soon, as it can really solve many automation scenarios.
Because there are no branching capabilities on the same issue (only branching capabilities are in regards to related issues or JQL), we had to implement branching on the same issue ourselves in our Apps trigger, which appears to have weird behaviors sometimes.
If we had this feature, we could use it instead.
We faced a limitation while using Delete Issue Links, where we couldn't add an additional branch to make a specific check only delete those links.
Kindly prioritize this request
Given that DC edition now has variables, Advanced Branching is def needed to complement various use cases.. Please prioritize this.
