User Problem

Users are experiencing difficulties in filtering content effectively in the New Navigation of Jira Align, particularly on the Program Board. Previously, in the Old Navigation, users had access to Advanced Configurations (Tier 1) that allowed for broad filtering across various pages. This functionality is missing in the New Navigation, which now only supports contextual, page-specific filters (Tier 2). The absence of this filter reduces efficiency and limits user ability to manage and view relevant data quickly on the Program Board.

Suggested Solutions

Introduce a tag-based filtering mechanism specifically for the Program Board in the New Navigation. This filter should allow users to refine what they see based on tags, aligning with the contextual nature of the New Navigation but restoring some of the global filtering capabilities that users relied on in the Old Navigation.
