      Issue Summary

This is reproducible on Data Center: (yes)

In general, after selecting a child value within the Custom Room, all the side menu views don't carry the child value as a filter and often crash or reset the T1 value to a program when accessing the reports on the side menu such as the Backlog and Roadmaps. This ticket will focus on the side menu filter, which is impacting the ability of the customer to visualize the work items

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. In the T1, select a custom room from the dropdown
      2. Within the Custom Room Grid, click to open
      3. Select a streamline (Level 2 or 3 of the hierarchy), the under-level hierarchy room is displayed
      4. on the side menu, click on 'Backlog'
      5. Notice that the Side menu filter is changed to the top level of the custom hierarchy and the page results are being filtered by the top customer hierarchy instead of the results being filtered by the 'top-level + child level'

Possible workaround and its issue/root cause of the issue backlog (tracked in the ticket JIRAALIGN-5915 - New Nav: Custom Room Backlog: Filter ignores child value)

      1. In the Backlog page click on 'Apply filter' and select the child level to filter the results
      2. Notice that the filter completely ignores the child value selected in the filter even if the child value is not related to the level 1 already used to filter the results previously

      Expected Results

Backlog would filter results using either the child level previously selected or filtered

      Actual Results

after selecting a child value within the Custom Room, all the side menu views don't carry the child value as a filter and often crash or reset the T1 value to a program

      Workaround

Currently, there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
