Support Link URL broken on some instances after updates are pushed

    • Severity 3 - Minor
    • In the days following an update to a new release on either prodcution or test instances, click the User menu on the left hand navigation menu. Click Support.

      https://support.atlassian.com/jira-align/

      The Help link should be:
      https://agilecrafthelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-us

      If customers have already customized the links, their links should be retained

      The URL during the course of the update has changed to: http://{host}/support.asp, and the user cannot get to the support site. Basically, the hostname of the Jira Align instance (i.e. partners.agilecraft.com) is wiped out and {host} is put in its place.



      WORKAROUND:

      There is a workaround, which entails:

      Navigate to Administration -> Platform

      Click the General tab

      Notice that the correct hostname and URL is present for the support link.

      Cut and paste the URL into the support link dialog box

      Save the settings

      The support link is now fixed.

      On some, but, not all Align instances it has been noticed that the support link URL becomes unusable after we push our bi-weekly update.
