Description
Issue Summary
Customers have noticed that several Features have time in process step and time in value stream as 0. However, the features were created more than 2 or 3 months ago. In these scenarios, the process steps were set at initial creation.
This seems similar to https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JIRAALIGN-1447, however, in this case these features are being created from Jira and synced into Jira Align
Steps to Reproduce
- Login
- Create Feature-level Developmental Value Streams for a Program. Create Some Steps.
- Create a Feature in Jira and allow it to sync to Jira Align. Check the audit log in Jira Align and make sure the process step box is populated with an applicable process step.
- Go to the Backlog>Kanban View>Process Step view.
- Set Card Size to Normal View.
- Check the Time in Process Step/Value Stream for the Feature that was created in Step 2.
Expected Results
Time in Process Step / Value Stream starts when the Feature first is assigned to a process step.
Actual Results
When the Feature id assigned to some Process Step at creation time we are not counting Time in Process Step/Value Stream for it. The time remains at zero.

Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
