Issue Summary
- A user is logged into Jira Align
- The user receives a notification email from Jira Align
In this case, this will be a Risk notification - When the user clicks on the link, the newly open window will close open session and force user to log back to Jira Align
To note that the link itself takes the user to the right object ID after login, so the intent of the email is still valid, however, the mechanism to force login seems unnecessary and is against the common user experienceSteps to Reproduce
- Login Jira Align(anypage) (=tab1)
- Clone the tab (=tab2)
- In tab1, keep the base URL https://Yourdomain.jiraalign.com/ and add Login?EmailClickType=23&ID=306
>>This is to reflect the email link schema
- The url will force the login in tab1
- try to refresh tab2 - the login page appears and the session is lost
- procees to login in tab1, the Risk ID from the email will appear (as empty if this ID does not exist in a test instance)
Expected Results
The link opened would check if the session is valid (opened) and let the user through the work item directly without login.
Login would be required only if the user has not already logged in
Actual Results
The link forces the user to log in again
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behaviour. A workaround will be added here when available
