Issue Summary
For work items like Features, the Jira's Project is associated with a Program. If we change the Primary program of the work item, the sync fails with the following message.
No changes were pulled in from Jira because there is a Jira Align update waiting to be pushed to Jira.
Steps to Reproduce
- Integrate Jira Project A and Project B with Program A and Program B respectively
- Create a Feature
- Set "Primary Program" to "Program A" and "Jira Project" to "Project A"
- Sync the Feature
- In Jira Align, upgrade the "Primary Program" to "Program B"
- Synd the Feature
- Error message:
No changes were pulled in from Jira because there is a Jira Align update waiting to be pushed to Jira.
Expected Results
To be provided by PM.
Actual Results
We allow the action and the sync fail
Workaround
- The best approach to avoid this issue is moving the Issue between Projects in Jira's side first. But if the project is misaligned again, follow the steps below to work around the issue.
- Go to Jira Align, change the "Primary Program" back to "Program A" and wait for JA sync to Jira. A small change in the Description will help you notice that.
- Once you see the change in Jira, do a small change on the issue, you can revert the Description change, and then wait it sync back to Jira Align.
