Issue Summary
This appears to be tightly related to https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JIRAALIGN-1447 (and may be a duplicate), but, since the symptoms are slightly different, I opened a separate bug.
In this situation, the Feature was created by the Jira Connector and was initially assigned a Process Step of "Funnel" on December 20th. The Feature's process step has not changed since it was originally created.
Steps to Reproduce
- Feature Synced into Jira Align
- At creation time, the Feature was assigned to the Funnel Process Step. The Feature was created on December 20th Audit log sample:
- Navigate to Backlog -> Feature Backlog
- Click Kanban button on the backlog page and select "Process Step View"
- Locate the Feature on the Kanban board and observe the "Time in Process Step" number.
Expected Results
If the Feature was created on December 20th and hasn't moved from the process step that it is in, the Time in Value Stream / Time in Process step numbers should be around 120 or so days.
Actual Results
The time in Process Step and Value Stream numbers are way lower than that. In this example, it only shows 17 days. screenshot:
Other features on the Kanban board that have had their process steps modified at least once since creation seem to reflect a more accurate state of their Time in Process Step / Time in Value Stream numbers.
Workaround
Currently there is no known workaround for this behavior. A workaround will be added here when available
