Summary
Before Atlassian Account, users of JIRA on instances that did not have Gravatar enabled and who did not have an avatar set had an initial from their name displayed on issues they were assigned to on a scrum or kanban board. When Atlassian Account is enabled on an instance, the initials will be replaced with a a generic image.
Environment
- Atlassian Account enabled JIRA Software Cloud instances.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a JIRA Software instance.
- Disable Gravatar
- Assign a user who has no avatar to an issue on a board.
- Opt the instance into Atlassian Account
Expected Results
The assignee's initial is visible on issues they are assigned to.
Actual Results
A generic default avatar image is displayed instead of the initial.
Workaround
Users can upload an avatar to their Atlassian Account to be displayed on issues they are assigned to.
