In the same way that many users can be added to a Group at once (and vice-versa) allow users to be bulk activated/deactivated

[CWD-1930] Add UI to bulk Activate/Deactivate users

Yassine Mansour added a comment - Hallelujah...... we Use https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.holydev.user.holydev-user-assessment-plugin/server/reviews  To assess our JIRA USERS.

Do a PUT /user?username=USERNAME passing a user entity that has <active>false</active>. For more details, please see https://developer.atlassian.com/display/CROWDDEV/Crowd+REST+Resources#CrowdRESTResources-UserResource

Note that not all directory types support active/inactive users, but it should work fine for internal Crowd directories, delegated auth directories and connectors to Active Directory.

We have been unable to figure out a working example of deactivating users in Crowd via the Rest API. We would be fine with this work around if you could provide an example of how to do this? Thanks!

            atlassian-support-group,

Could you please raise a separate issue for bulk user removal? This issue is specifically to change the status of users.

Not all the directory types support the concept of enabled/disabled users. When implementing this feature, we need to consider that. See related issues for details.

Until this feature is implemented, as a workaround please consider using the REST API to automate user de-activation (or removal).

Please provide a way to bulk remove or deactivate local users in Crowd.
