PDF Export of wide tables does not resize the table properly to fit the 'paper' size.

      Tables that span beyond a standard 8.5x11 landscape or portrait page become illegible since the columns do not get properly spaced and some words do not wrap. Please see the attachments (the original page versus the PDF generated page).

            @Per Fragemann,

            Please see the previous comment. How can you mark it resolved if the PDF Export of wide tables (just like mentioned in issue summary) does not resize the table, so resulting PDF export is basically unusable?

            PS also in effect for Confluence OnDemand (Cloud)

            I'm not sure how you can say this is resolved; this is still an issue. If you try to export a page as a PDF and the table doesn't fit on the page, confluence just cuts the table off. This makes managing technical documentation in confluence (that you need to print) a real pain.

            Confluence 3 has a new mechanism for PDF generation, and it displays table columns only as wide as necessary, preventing the situation described in this issue. It can still happen that a table is too wide for a page to print, but that is another issue, so I am resolving this issue.

            I wanted to add my vote as well. This is a serious issue for our users.

            Verified only means we have confirmed it is a bug. Usually if there is a fix version, we have scheduled it for a release.

            Unfortunately, this bug doesn't sounds like a trivial fix so, I'm not quite sure when this will get scheduled.
            I'd suggest voting on CONF-5853 (which has more information and votes) to raise its chances on getting fixed sooner.

            Cheers,
            Agnes

            So little information on this issue even though it is classified as "Major"

            If this bug is "Verified", why is it still not in a scheduled version ? ( The faster, the better for us )

            Why is the bug in verify state ? does it mean it is fixed ?
