NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

Use case: User make a page in personal space and wants to convert\move the page into a news item (blog post) together with all attachments

Also want to move a blog post to a page.

          Form Name

            [CONFSERVER-59860] Convert\move a blog post to a regular page

The function is implemented in the cloud.
It should not be too difficult to make this available in the DataCenter.
Otherwise I'll have to write my own add-on, but it's not in the interests of the customers.
Presumably the goal is to get everyone into the cloud...that's not going to happen

There are so many alternatives nowadays. If our company leaves Atlassian in the next 3 months, this would be the reason.

Can we assign this ticket to an active assignee first?

A user on my team had valuable blog content and then left my organization.
I would like to move his blog entries to a more public space.

Instead, I guess I will try to copy/paste and see how it goes.

Sorry, this Issue have been around for 5+ years with no progress... longer then most users... so save your energy

Copy/Past (Individual segments), is the only way I can to do this.

We started using the "Blog" area for a quick notes bucket, thinking we could then distribute those notes to other spaces/regular pages later/as necessary. Imagine my surprise to find that yes, I can move one to another space, but only to that space's "blog." I'm hard pressed to find any other good use for the blog for us, so this was looking like a pretty good plan, particularly using some Zapier magic to allow creating the blog pages from Slack. But alas, having them locked into the "blog," is pretty much a deal breaker. MAYBE if the "Blog" could be RENAMED, but of course it cannot. Frustrating.
