[CONFSERVER-16142] Convert\move a page to news (blog post) and news to a page

I have found a workaround. (Page to News / Blogpost direction)

            1. Create a blogpost.
            2. Insert an "Include page" macro on it, with the page you wanted to convert.
            3. Save the blogpost.

            Hey there,

working a lot with blog posts myself, I understand that it is frustrating to see this ticket being closed as "Won't fix".
Our team has added functionality to convert pages to blog posts and vice versa to our app Space Admin for Confluence. With the latest release, we also added the possibility to retroactively adjust the publication date of blog posts into the future and the past. Have a great weekend everyone!

            Best, Max

Would love to see this feature, frustrating to have to create a new post and remove the old.

+1 this should be basic functionality

+1 I agree, seems like something basic a user should be able to do. Pages are pages, I can make a blog as a child page, why can't I move a blog to become a child page?

+1 It is incredible that a information management system doesn't let you manage it in a very basic way, at least without a 3P plugin.
