      Atlassian Update - 25th July 2019

      We've discovered that this issue is actually a limitation in Confluence described by the feature request at CONFSERVER-4337 and confluence is working as designed, so this is not a bug. Please see our New Features Policy for more information and watch that request for further updates.

      Summary

      When copying text from Microsoft Word that includes an image, the image is not included when pasted into a Confluence page.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Create a page in Microsoft Word with text that includes an image.
      2. Copy the content, including the image.
      3. Create a new page in Confluence and paste the content.
      4. The image is not included.

      Expected Results

      The image should be included.

      Actual Results

      The image is not included.

      Workaround

      Copy the image separately and paste it.
