My profile appears mostly empty on Atlassian Answers, however when I go into 'Edit Profile', it is fully fleshed out. See screen shots.

[CONFSERVER-47780] Profile not synced with Atlassian ID on Answers

            Hi kkohler,

It looks like the communication between Answers and the profile service is down! I just tried on my own account and I'm having the same problem. Thanks for reporting this! I'll create a new issue to track this problem: CQ-1875.

I am experiencing the same problem, with my Avatar not being synced from AID to the Answers site. Saving and even re-uploading the avatar has not corrected the problem.

Thank you Joseph! Straight forward enough...

Hi sfbehnke - just go to your Atlassian ID profile (https://id.atlassian.com/profile/profile.action) and hit Save. Even though you haven't changed anything, triggering the save should cause the profile information to be distributed out to all the linked systems.

I seem to have the same issues that Mark S mentioned. I don't really need a turn around quickly but I thought I'd mention it.

jamieechlin - that's certainly another avenue - feel free to cast your vote on CONF-19636.

Thanks Joseph, I did that and it fixed it.

Seems easier though to just get confluence to support gravatar like everything else, this would save me a lot of bother in my day job and might mean that we could use the vendor war for confluence, and not rebuild.

            Thanks again anyway.

Hi jamieechlin - Yes, this does appear to be a gravatar issue. Even though Atlassian ID understands and supports retrieiving your avatar from the gravatar service, Confluence unfortunately does not.

If you want your avatar to display on Answers, you will need to go into Atlassian ID and forcibly replace your current avatar with one that you manually upload to your Atlassian profile. From there, it should automatically sync across to Answers as soon as you hit save.

I'm going to raise an issue with the Atlassian ID team to see if we can change things so that Atlassian ID doesn't try to send gravatar information to systems that don't understand it, but I wouldn't expect a fast turnaround on a minor issue like this, so I think updating manually is still your best bet.

            Cheers,
            Joe.

mschaschke - I just triggered a profile sync for your account and now your job title has synced across. I believe that Atlassian ID will sync your job title and location into an integrated Confluence system, but not the organization name - so I think you're good to go now.

echlinj - I'm taking a look at your account now.
