[CONFSERVER-47726] Atlassian ID profile updates are not working on Atlassian Answers

Hm, I noticed the same thing with my own avatar. You might like to bring this up with the engineer who's working on your support ticket - they should be able to pass that information on to the right people to investigate it further.

Since the specific problem with avatar updates on Answers is now fixed, I'm going to resolve this issue.

            jclark@atlassian.com,

I just submitted a support ticket at support.atlassian.com and my avatar is not showing up there. Any ideas on this?

            Hi jhult,

That's the expected behaviour - the Gravatar integration offerred by Atlassian ID is not compatible with Confluence (it's a long story!) - if you set your Atlassian ID avatar to a gravatar, it will only work on connected JIRA instances.

            Cheers,
            Joe.

I removed my individually uploaded avatar from Atlassian ID. It then defaulted to Gravatar. This did not show up in Answers. I then added an uploaded avatar and it is now showing up in Answers.

So, this appears to be working (just not with Gravatar, based on my tests).

We believe we have fixed this problem such that new icon updates will now be propagated through.

I added an image, in case more detail is helpful. I see a placeholder, rather than a "broken image" icon, and I attempting to add or change my avatar from the Answers profile page takes me to the avatar I have already uploaded.

Yes, it appears so. Thank you Joe.

I also seem to be affected still.
