Time zone display in Confluence is inconsistent and doesn't use UTC

      Summary

      The display of time zones in Confluence is inconsistent with ISO 8601 standards.

      Environment

      • Confluence 5.9.5

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Go to > General Configuration
      2. Go to ADMINISTRATION > System Information
      3. Look for System Timezone
        System Timezone Australia/Sydney
      4. Go to User Menu > Profile > Settings
        Time zone Site Default ((GMT+1000) Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne

      Expected Results

      • System time zone should display as (for when this issue was created)
        System Time zone AEDT Australian Eastern Daylight Time (UTC+11)
      • User time zone should display as
        System Time zone AEDT Australian Eastern Daylight Time (UTC+11)

      Actual Results

      • System Timezone displays as
        System Timezone Australia/Sydney
      1. User time zone displays as
        Time zone Site Default ((GMT+1000) Sydney, Canberra, Melbourne

      Notes

      Team Calendar also has issues with the display of time zones.
