    Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      Problem Definition

When you upload a PDF file in a Confluence page, then click on that when viewing the page. Confluence will preview that PDF. The CTRL/CMD+F shortcut key doesn't open the Find dialog to allow the user to search that PDF.

      Steps to replicate

      1. Access a page that contains a PDF attachment
      2. Preview the attachment
      3. Use the CTRL/CMD+F command

      Expected results

      The Find tool opens

      Actual results

      Nothing happens

      Suggested Solution

Confluence PDF Preview should bind CTRL/CMD+F key shortcut to open the Find dialog.

      Workaround

      There are currently three workarounds:

      1. In your preferred browser, lookup the Find menu in your browser options and select it
      2. Download the attachment locally and search in it
      3. Issue the CTRL/CMD+F command before opening the attachment preview
