Hi there,

I started to use tasks in Confluence and I think it's awesome. Playing around with it I discovered 2 things that were strange and I could not find an answer in the forums.

First issue is when I add a task for example "@Gerhard Wagner get KM system ready for team use" inside meeting notes and I save it, it will appear in the task macro. When I then make a modification of the same task in the meeting notes "@Gerhard Wagner get the KM system ready for team use" it will create a second task instead of updating the initial one.

When I update the status of the task for example to complete and I have a look again in the task list macro the old task will disappear.

Second issue is when I create a task in the meeting notes, save it and open it up again and delete the task it will remain in the task list macro. When I try to update the status of the deleted task in the macro it will return an error message "Oops! Your task change couldn't be saved.
There could be a few reasons for this. Dismiss".

I agree with Mr. @Thomas Schwietzki - this bug should have a higher priority!

            Push!
The same error occurs in the OnDemand version. This is no minor bug!

I am running into the same issue on my 5.5.2 instance. The specific use case seems to center around deleting or reformatting existing task lists.

            Repro Steps:

            1. Create or Update a page to include a task list
            2. Save Changes
            3. Edit the page and reformat the task list in any of the following ways:
              1. Change to Bullet List
              2. Change to Numbered List
              3. Click the "Task List" button to remove the checkboxes
            4. Save Changes
            Result:
            • Tasks remain present in all task report macros referencing the page.
            • Trying to mark tasks in the task report result in error message:

Oops! Your task change couldn't be saved.
There could be a few reasons for this. Dismiss

            Expected:
            • Tasks do not appear in task report macros referencing the page.
            • If they do appear, the tasks can be marked as complete, no error message.
