Confluence Administrators unable to Reindex Manually

      NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

      1. Login as an administrative user in OnDemand.
      2. Go to Confluence Admin
      3. Under Administration, no option to Re-index.
      4. Visit URL manually (https://[domain].atlassian.net/wiki/admin/search-indexes.action), get not permitted message.
      5. Previously was able to do this.

            +1 My Scrum board will no longer display issues which appear properly in the filter being used following a workflow adjustment... No good.

            +1 vote for me. I had a recent support issue (JST-152643) that I could have resolved myself easily had I the power to reindex manually.

            Additional issue with Admins not able to view content indexing:

            • After a space import the content index is triggered and there is not currently a way to view the progress of the index.
            • Attachments are not visible until the content index is complete.

            Looks like the Permissions removal effects the ability for admins to access Backup manager as well.

            This does need to bee addressed, Because we have tons of documentation in the AOD Knowledge-base space telling customers that they need to perform this operation to fix a plethora of issues.

            Fix: either update all documentation stating this as a fix with File a support case.
            Or re-enable this for OnDemand admins
