      Description

NOTE: This suggestion is for Confluence Server. Using Confluence Cloud? See the corresponding suggestion.

We'll be delivering the ability to rename users in a near-term Confluence release and resolving CONF-4063.

We won't be auto-detecting changed user names in Crowd but we will support a local user rename. So if a Crowd/JIRA managed user is renamed you could then manually via the GUI (or script it via the remote API) change the username in Confluence to match.

This issue is for gauging demand for the automatic detection of user name changes in Crowd.
