Confluence could have an option to transform a space template or all space templates for an specific space to be transformed into global templates for the entire instance.

[CONFSERVER-27606] Provide a way to transform a space template into a global template automatically
This is no way close to "resolved". Please reopen this.
I would also like to add a vote to re-open this issue and add to the backlog. We encourage our teams to innovate on templates. Once we have tested; we want to make these global templates. Requiring users to copy and paste a space template to a global template in 2018 seems a little outdated 
. Thank you for your consideration.
I'm pretty surprised that this isnt a feature that is already available. I've got a few templates that were created in a particular space that I want to make global but it seems that the only way to do it is replicate rather than promote to be global.
Would be a really good thing to add.

My organization recently migrated from cloud-hosted to self-hosted Confluence and during the process some templates for one of our spaces became global templates. I need to move them back to space-scope templates and get them out of global. Is this possible?

added a comment - Being new to Confluence and the Content Tools, I just spent a fair amount of time creating a template for my space and realize now that it isn't global for all our spaces. What a colossal waste of time to do it over again. Seems like a basic feature to be able to "promote" a template to a global template from a specific space. Thanks.

The request is to be able to go into a space's content tools, select one of the templates created within a space, and "cross-export" it to be used globally across the whole confluence instance, versus 4538 is the ability to template whole spaces.

I can't see how this is resolved. This is bug is specifically about transform/promote/make available space templates as global templates. The CONF-4538 is about copying templates to other spaces, not for making the global.
smansour can you please explain what issue this is a duplicate of - it is resolved as such but not linked using a duplicate relationship. There are no linked duplicates and per ajayfiero802416954 there is no actual resolution or explanation offered within this ticket.
