Confluence could have an option to move a Space Template, or even all Space Templates for an specific Space, to the Global Templates list.

Why this is important

Creating a template can be very time consuming and sometimes Space Templates might be needed for other Spaces, either because it was created as a Space template by mistake or maybe due to a business decision that template is needed in other Spaces.

It would be very important if Admins had an option to easily move a Space Template to the Global Template list.

Workaround

It is possible to simply port over the template content manually into a new global template using the Confluence Source Editor. As mentioned in our How to migrate a space template to a global template KB.
