      When I watch a space, I want to be able to choose what kinds of content I wish to be notified on:

      • New Pages
      • New Blog Posts
      • New Comments
      • New Attachments
      • Edited Pages
      • Edited Blog Posts

            I have a user who has also requested better options, but mainly referring to agreggation options:

            Would it be possible to allow setting notification preferences on a per-page basis?

            Ideally, every time you click a "watch," you'd get a choice of:
            Notify me instantly of all changes
            Notify me of changes after waiting 10 minutes (to aggregate)
            Notify me of changes after waiting 30 minutes
            Notify me of changes after waiting 60 minutes
            Notify me of changes once a day
            Notify me of changes once a week

            Separate notification settings for Comments vs. Edit would also be good.

            Right now the only choices are instantly/daily, and that choice applies
            to all watched pages.

            I wholeheadly agree! Let's make email notification as powerful as RSS feeds currently are!

            Please also vote for http://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-6810 on this issue.

            Note that Tom Davies told me the following (in an instance of Jira for individual support, so I don't think that others can view the page at https://support.atlassian.com/browse/CSP-2154?page=comments#action_33069)

            The problem is that the {blog-posts}

            macro only reports on one space, and the

            {recently-updated}

            macro can't filter by content type.

            I've modified the blog-posts macro so that it can be used on the dashboard, and will show recent posts from all spaces visible to the user. This enhancement will be in Confluence 2.1.2

            For me, this will help me deal with a portion of the issue described here (the part that's important to me!)

            Especially being notified on news posts is important. We use news in Confluence for providing company-wide information.
