Issue Summary
The "Rovo is now in Teams" promotional message appears in Microsoft Teams even when Rovo is disabled in Atlassian Administration.
Issue Summary:
When using the Confluence Cloud app for Microsoft Teams, users receive an automated message stating "Rovo is now in Teams" within their chat/channel interface. This occurs even if the Organization Admin has explicitly disabled Rovo access for the entire organization or specific products under Atlassian Administration > AI and Rovo > Access.
Steps to Reproduce
- In Atlassian Administration, navigate to AI and Rovo > Access and ensure Rovo is set to Blocked for Confluence.
- Ensure the Confluence Cloud app is installed in a Microsoft Teams environment linked to that Atlassian site.
- Perform a user action in Teams that triggers the Confluence app (e.g., sharing a Confluence link or interacting with the Confluence bot).
- Observe the chat message/nudge: "Rovo is now in Teams".
Expected Results
If Rovo is disabled at the organization level, no Rovo-related promotional messages, nudges, or entry points should be visible to end-users in external integrations like Microsoft Teams.
Actual Results
The "Rovo is now in Teams" message is displayed, causing confusion for users in organizations where AI tools are not approved.
Workaround
There is currently no administrative toggle to suppress these engagement nudges. The only way to stop the message is to remove the Confluence Cloud app from the Microsoft Teams environment, which also removes legitimate Confluence notifications.
