      Problem

      The new Jira issue macro shows as smartlink for a single issue count with inline option

      Environment

      Confluence Cloud

      The below feature request has been closed but the issue behaviour persists

      • CONFCLOUD-77273 -Allow new 'Jira issues' macro to display single issues as table instead of replacing macro with a SmartLink

      Steps to Reproduce

      • Create a confluence page.
      • Insert Jira issue macro
      • Search for a Jira project with a single issue
      • Select the inline option for the search result
      • Issue number count replaced by a SmartLink 

      Expected Results

      • The search result should show "1 issue" for the inline option

      Actual Results

      • The search result shows the Jira issue with SmarLink.

      Workaround

      Using the Jira legacy macro as the workaround for the single-issue project with "Total issue count" selected for the "Display options"

      OR

      Conduct a JQL search in Jira to find a single issue. Then, copy the link directly from Jira and paste it onto the Confluence page.
