Summary
Create a new issue with the JIRA issue macro or by selecting text in view mode, it will fail if fields are set as required in JIRA.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a project in JIRA
- Create some custom fields like 'Select List', 'User Picker', Select List (cascading), etc
- Mark these fields as required for the screens.
- Go to Confluence.
- Select some text and click "Create Issue" or create a new issue using Jira issue Macro.
- Choose the project you recently created.
Expected Results
The issue should be created
Actual Results
The below message is thrown:
The required fields *ABC123* and *XYZ123* are not available in this dialog. You will need to create your issue directly in Jira
Workaround
Set the fields as optional is the only workaround available as of now
