Description
NOTE: This bug report is for Confluence Cloud. Using Confluence Server? See the corresponding bug report.
Summary
Create a new issue with JIRA issue macro will fail if the Component/s field is set as required in JIRA.
Steps to Reproduce
- Create a project in JIRA and set the Component/s field as required(this component is not a custom one).
- Go to Confluence.
- Add a JIRA Issue Macro and edit it, or select some text and click the JIRA icon to create a ticket.
- Select "Create New Issue".
- Choose the project you recently created.
- Save it
Expected Results
The issue will be created
Actual Results
The issue is not created and a message is thrown saying that the Component/s is a required field.
If you use the 2nd option of highlighting the text, no error is shown. Instead, "getting required fields" will remain on the screen.
Notes
Possibly a regression of this ticket: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-23424
Workaround
Set the Component/s field as optional.
