New media picker not respecting max file size setting for attachments

XMLWordPrintable

      Summary

The new media picker doesn't respect the file upload limit set in. Settings > General > Attachment limit.

      Steps to Reproduce

      1. Edit/verify the "Attachment Maximum Size" setting in Settings > General configuration
      2. Edit a page
      3. Add an attachment(that is intentionally larger the attachment size limit) via the new media picker

      Expected Results

      • A message is shown advising the user that the file size of the file selected is larger than the set limit allows

      Actual Results

      • The media picker allows the file to be uploaded. Validation is bypassed

(file size of the attachment is 1MB)

      Notes

      • The old media picker doesn't have this issue - uploading files that exceed the set limit in the Confluence settings is not allowed
