An ability for new editor users to insert a file from existing attachments

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      Problem Definition

In the new editor, "Files & images" pops up browser's file selector to upload new attachments. Hence, once user removed a thumbnail from the editor, there's no way to insert
the file other than uploading the same file again.

      Suggested Solution

Provide a way to select a file from previously uploaded attachments.

      Workaround

      None.

This is the same problem as we have in Jira document at JRACLOUD-70200 and that one has not been closed.

I'd like to point out that accessing "recent uploads" is not the same as accessing files from existing attachments on the page. What happens if the existing attachment is an older upload? It won't show up and there is literally no way to get to it. I don't think this should have been closed.
