Description
This issue is being closed as the root cause is users showing up as "unknown" after a server -> cloud migration (CONFCLOUD-59989). This happens when the user has a different username or userkey in server than cloud. One of our teams looking into GDPR related work will be looking at solving this by making changes to both confluence server and cloud - progress will be tracked on an internal ticket and reflected on CONFCLOUD-59989.
Summary
Unknown Users as the personal spacename after migration/restore of the user base after changing email
Steps to Reproduce
Create a personal space export
Import the personal space to another instance
Import the same users to another instance
When you refresh the page, the space name for those personal space will display as "Unknown Users"
Expected Results
Personal space should be renamed linked to the username
Actual Results
"Unknown user" is shown after the import.
Workaround
- Delete the previous personal space and remigrate those page to the new personal space
