Need ability to delete multiple child pages from the parent page

    • Our product teams collect and evaluate feedback from a number of different sources. To learn more about how we use customer feedback in the planning process, check out our new feature policy.

      UPDATE on October 23, 2023

Hi everyone - I'm John, a Product Manager for Confluence's Admin Experiences.

Thank you for all of your feedback and engagement with this request. I'm pleased to announce that we've released bulk delete capabilities for Confluence Cloud!

Customers on Standard, Premium, and Enterprise editions of Confluence Cloud are now able to delete content in bulk from the page tree.

Customers on Premium and Enterprise editions of Confluence Cloud are now able to delete content in bulk from the Manage Page Tree features (Space Settings > Manage Page Tree).

For more information, please check out the blog we've posted on Atlassian Community.

There needs to be a quick and easy way to delete multiple pages in Confluence. I have 500 or more pages to delete and I do not want to edit and then delete each one separately. That is ridiculous. From a parent, I should be able to select via checkbox which pages I want to delete and delete them with one click. I have test cases stored in Confluence and this is driving me crazy!

            That's a very vulture move @tetiana

I'm thrilled to announce that we have successfully implemented the ability to delete multiple child pages in Confluence in our Navi Bulk Actions plugin. This plugin provides an efficient way to perform certain actions on multiple Confluence pages at the same time. For example, you can perform a bulk action to move, rename, or delete multiple pages at once. I am confident that our solution will become a valuable asset for users!

We also need this - we have to delete or archive like 50 pages; it's not worth upgrading to Confluence Premium just for that.

This is a must-have feature, adding my voice and frustration to the mix here as I manually have to click and delete dozens of pages by hand!

This functionality was released in SERVER version in 2016, but still nothing for Cloud 7 years later. Incredible.

            What ?

This ticket was already a joke without that finding.

I tried to use workaround with creating and deleting space, and soon hit CONFCLOUD-72589

So this is OK workaround for specific use case, as long as you keep your space small.

Nah, you do not need it. They can always sell you some premium package with custom tailored plugin development team, 48h per day support and TIER ALPHA maintance program. But basic CRUD operation? Nah, grab API and waste time.

Atlassian support feedback: "...and this is why we would strongly advise you to give your feedback on this feature request, in order to raise awareness for it."

            So, here I am...

            Created April 2006
            Status Update March 2022
Today March 2023 – and there is still no movement with this ticket…

If the request would be such extraordinary and only interesting for a small group of customers – I can understand it – but this feature IS BASIC, it should be implemented in confluence cloud 1.0.0 - not 10+ years later…
