Summary
The following error is shown when creating a confluence site backup

Please try again later. ', httpStatusCode=500} But don't worry, we'll fix it for you! You just need to contact Atlassian support and paste in this error message, timestamp and your instance details. Timestamp: 2016-12-27T18:35:56.323-05:00
Environment
- Confluence Cloud
Steps to Reproduce
On a large Confluence site
- create a backup with attachments
Expected Results
Backup completes and is available for download from the filestore location
Actual Results
An error is shown on screen.
Notes
The backup itself was created and the process failed to upload it to the filestore location due to the service responding a 500 error message "Service Unavailable"
The backup file on the /home/temp/ directory is removed soon after the process fails.
Although the remote service is unavailable, it is not ideal for Confluence to fail without retrying at another time or saving the file locally for a longer period of time so a workaround can be provided to customers.
Workaround
For testing purposes, creating a backup without attachments normally works as the file is significantly smaller.
