Please provide a way for Confluence Cloud users to automatically schedule backups, so we have a permanent copy of our data in case of accidental deletions or other losses.

I would also open this up to allow for various places to drop files, not just Confluence servers. (Wasabi being my preference... but GDrive, Dropbox, Amazon S3, etc. would be great to start). Not to mention integrations with 3rd-party backup provides like simplebackups.io.

Bonus: This would also aid with, say, SOC 2 compliance.

            Just my two cents.

I know Confluence Cloud is backed up for DR.  What we have issues with is someone deletes something before they go an vacations and when they come backup they realize their error.  We take great care in documenting our environment and procedures.  There is a great loss when someone makes a mistake.  This could even be a billable option to be able to go back in time to a previous version.

Automated backups of Confluence Cloud is a topic I've spoken to many support folks at Atlassian, to little resolution. On this round, I've been directed to add my vote to this ticket. On a previous, it was suggested I do the same on CLOUD-6617. I hope that one of these tickets might some day lead to some sort of real support for automated backups of Confluence Cloud.
